It would help if you gave details of the vehicle you are asking about 👍

If you have Xenon headlamps you will have headlamp washers, they will also have self levelling and there will be a high voltage warning sticker under the bonnet.

Another clue is if your headlamp switch has a manual setting for height adjustment then you have standard halogen type headlamps.

Your VIN decodes as your car having 621 Intelligent Lighting System (ILS) and 600 Headlamp Cleaning so you have Xenons by all accounts.
If your lights look like mine, then you deffo have Xenons:

The coolest feature of the Xenon ILS set up?
Wait until it's dark, go and start the car and switch the headlights on. They'll do a little dance, adjusting up, down, left and right.
Makes me smile every time - simple things........😃

That is pretty cool, but not as cool as having the full beam switched on and watching the beam pattern adjust as you drive down a dark road with occasional passing traffic.

The OP cannot give more accurate details about his car, he already posted the VIN.

Is the "multi-beam" type of behaviour included with MY 2012 Xenon ILS lights (if this is what you are referring to)? I thought it came with LED ILS lights?

He could give details such as make and model.

Not all of us have access to or the inclination to run the VIN through a decoder.

on the 204, ILS gives Adaptive High Beam Assist, Motorway Mode, Active Light and Cornering Light functions, depending on your road speed ( according to the manual pages 124 -126

Not really an important topic but perhaps access to Mercedes VIN Decoder | Decode Your Mercedes-Benz VIN is blocked in North Korea but available pretty much everywhere else:

The "204" on the VIN tells the MB body style, no need for the VIN decoder to figure out that.

I have tried various decoders in the past and they do seem "variable" in accuracy 👍

+1 for that . Certainly not foolproof.
Yep. The one I used for mine says I've got burlwood trim or some such.
Wrong, it's the standard 'I can't believe it's not aluminium' stuff.

I cannot speak for every VIN decoder site but most of them are illegal copies of the (past) official Mercedes EPC and the data is equally accurate as it is for Mercedes workshops/parts desks. Errors hardly exist for option codes. If there were errors, the factory would have used incorrect parts. The option code descriptions are a bit of a hit and miss though. I bet trims different from the EPC data card means after market retrofits (assuming we talk about codes/numbers, not about the text).

I'd like to have an example VIN with the observed mistakes, then compare it with the on-line official data.

Worst thing I have found missing on the Vin decoder s is the colour code/ name for the steering wheel on grey and cream interiors where it's darker. Not a mistake just not there
