Im now the very proud owner of a year old C220 CDi estate (with loads and loads of goodies :-)

Now question is: how the feck to keep it in show room condition?

I have metallic paint and leather :D

I have been cleaning it the same way i did the Peugeot 406 (that is the hose and supermarket car cleaner).

By now you will realise I have a serious problem (lack of knowledge) regarding how to give my Benz the TLS it deserves.

If you can recommend any cleaning products/regime/techniques I will buy you alcohol for life! Even a web link will have me salivating:bannana:

:rock: :rock: :rock:

EDIT

TLS = Tender loving Shag

meant to type

TLC = Tender Loving Care

Zymol Auto Wash

Zymol Cleaner Wax

Both readily available, and smell great too.... and there are a host of other more expensive Zymol treatments available (and I mean REALLY exbenzive !!) depending on how far you want to take it. I get good results from the two above though ...

(did I mention they smell GRRRRRRREAT !!!!) :bannana: :bannana:

That Zymol is sooooooooooo expensive.
Try Mer wax for £15.00 a bottle but only use a MICROFIBRE cloth to apply and clean of. These cloths will NOT scratch. (you can test them by getting a brand new cd and rubbing it with cloth...no scratches)You car will shine lurvly.
I suppose the important thing here is the cloth.

Get zymol ......u can pick it up from halfords ...I think i paid around 8-9 quid (basic version)
ive been told u can get different versions of zymol

definatly Zymol smells nice too £8 for the shampoo at halfords (I wonder if it will be as good on my hair?) £15 for the wax I think.

Cheers gang - looks like I am going shopping at Halfords this weekend :-)

I use turtle wax it gives my car a nice shine i only use it to get rid of the watermarks after washing never tried zymol but dont u have to rinse the car after using it:confused:

Meguiars is the dogs....
Everytime I wash my car (at least once a week) I clean all the door shuts and under the bonnet etc. Keeps it looking as new.

ZYMOLS V.GOOD. Especialy if you spray a fine mist of water afterwards s directed and buff dry, MIRROR finish. Just did mine today looks the B***ocks.;)

The "proper" estate wax Zymol is very, very good. I've been a convert for just over a year now, mostly due to seeing a car in the flesh that had been done and also seeing Vin's C Class after a bit of TLC.

The finish is incredible and well worth the effort. It also lasts a lot longer than one of the usual polishes such as AutoGlym.

An initial large purchase, but it goes a long way and good value for money.

Buy immediately!

WOW

One word maybe, but it describes my Benz after a Zymol bath :-)

Im in the process of getting a diggi camera so I can post a piccy of my pride n joy.

Thanks for the info gang!!!!
