car covers

i have one for my car... but i've read somewhere in this forum that it is important for the cover to be breathable... why is that? and how do i check whether it is breathable?

How much do you use it? If you store your car under it for any period of time, it can't breathe your car will sweat and get mouldy If it's just used to protect from the bad weather every now and then it should be OK - just give your car time to cool down before you slap it on.

i use it everyday because i park it on a public road and i don't want anyone damaging it..
