Car hood light worth it.

Not sure why it would not be safe....loads of cars have full width front (and rear) running lights. The question I would ask is why?

The full width running lights can be a little confusing when viewed through the RVM. I don't like them, If you have a light on each corner it is far easier to judge the position of the following vehicle. Don't get me started on HGV's with more coloured lights than Blackpool. How is that ever legal "any lights on the front should be white apart from emergency service vehicles"

These are chinese made not like factory original. Could they drain the battery.

Battery drain will be down to wiring then properly... nothing to do with where they are made.

Never seen one on a Car, but the fact that it get's Powered from the Cigar Lighter Socket would put me off!

Easy enough to snip off and wire it into the light circuits properly via a relay.

I think it looks awful, you did ask!

Another light source not designed for any particular vehicle that might cause glare.

I really cannot see the point, you say it looks "cool" but when fitted you cannot see them when driving .

The thread title had me thinking that a hood light was something useful i.e. to see what you are doing if you have to lift the hood after dark. Perhaps it might still fulfill that function.

Whether it would look good on a B class you can't really tell until you see it. Even if once installed it looks like sh!t to others, if you like it it looks good to you anyway. However, as has been pointed out, you're not really in a position to admire it from the driving seat...

To be fair you could say that about any exterior cosmetic mod....different alloys, carbon body parts black roofs etc etc etc. Lots of us have those.
