I recently bought a MB E220 2003/06 model 60k kilometers. 6 manual speed gearbox.
The gearbox is giving me a hard time.
The first shift pops out at 4000r.pm. Is it normal, since we should not exaggerate each shift speed?

Please answer me quickly. I am currently under a great amount of stress.

Are you saying that your manual gearbox jumps out of gear at 4000rpm?
Something wrong there definatly not right. Did you buy it from a dealer?

i now there is prob with the first gear syncro on the 211 models pop out of gear when hot i would check with your dealer about it
if it is this fault it will need the gearbox out and the box stripped down to replace the first gear syncro there not a bad job to do
