Thinking of getting the Carbon "RAM" air intake which would complement the Carbinio intake i already had installed.

Just wondered if anyone had one fitted or have heard any horror stories for fitment etc before i take the plunge.

They look nice, nice and expensive, not as bad as I thought they may be at $1099 + delivery, do you know how much delivery is yet? I may well be interested too if they'd do a discount for 2 sets?

I know the Carbino intakes claim to increase power, do these have similar claims, or is it just aesthetics for you Lee? There is a small review on the site stating it ups power but have you seen them tested anywhere?

I read one review that said with the Carbinio and RAM intake they got 22WHP increase!!!!!! Now i don't believe that for one minute.....However any increase in airflow can only be of benefit (and it does look nice).

I have been quoted 99 Dollars for postage from USA so maybe we could get a further discount if there was more of us????

I'm up for that then. Any more takers?

There is a red c63bs on auto trader that has a similar looking intake fitted.

Does not look different to the standard one, except it's in carbon? Or is the location of the intake changed (e.g. it sits higher or something)?

Looks quite a bit different i think and it's supposedly allows for greater air flow

I could..

possibly be up for purchasing a unit Lee & Paul, if you can let me know the details etc? Thanks

A mate of mine has one of these on his RS4. It does look the business.
I don't know if he has seen any more power out of the installation though.

Lee, will it fit comfortably with the Weistec SC?

That was my concern....however, I have seen a couple of cars with them fitted so should be a straight forward fit
Hopefully get a good price on Monday as I have contacted a couple of suppliers now :D

Nope - not necessarily true.. If the engine is already getting enough air flow at maximum throttle opening it won't make a tad of difference.

Maybe with the Supercharger screaming for more air at full throttle it will:bannana::bannana:

Either way it will be going on the MSL dyno afterwards so we will know after that.

Morning Lee, I've just been having a look at the photo's which Acid put up of the blue 63, in particular the covers, and noticed that there is now a little hole cut in the front, directly over the MB star to accommodate the Supercharger pulley.

May not be quite as easy a fix as it looks, though I suppose it could be sorted with a Dremel and a steady hand. :)

Chris said up there ^^ what I first thought with regard to the supercharger and, while I'm sure it could be fettled into place, it does seem a shame to be cutting into it to make it fit...
