I have calculated that I spend less than 0.5% of my time in front of my house.... and yet it seems that Google have managed to catch me on the last two passes of street view
In 2021 I was cleaning my A8 with help from my Border Collie, then in 2023 as I returned from holiday and was unloading the Macan, they got me again!
I know the date as it was the only time I have parked the car across the drive, the cars are normally in the garage.
Is big brother really watching me....or us? As far as I know there are no CCTV cameras in our village...yet!

Looks like whilst you were away someone fitted a basketball back board but not the hoop!

Coincidentally on the last pass of the Google Streetview you can see our detailer washing Mrs D’s car, and we were also able to work out the specific date

Maybe it was one of the Norfolk Phantoms team, as it transpires the backboard is totally transparent. :dk:
The more sinister possibility is it's part of Goggle's HUD targeting my garage.....

I tend not to get them muxed ip.....;)
True story; a few years ago a friend asked me if I could find a particular obscure battery for a torch her elderly mum had. I managed to obtain the item and said I'd deliver it. I had a rough idea where she lived, but I asked my friend to confirm the address.
She did, adding "it's easy to find; it's the only house in the street with a white porch"
I remarked that her mum must have done very well for herself as last time I saw her she was driving a red Astra estate.

My house hasn't been "street viewed" since March 2009. Long overdue a visit.
By comparison, my previous house (which is only 200 - 300m away) was "street viewed" in July 2013:dk:

Hi,
Just checked the street view images of our UK house - they were taken 10 years apart in 2011 (when we were living there) and again in 2021 (when we had tenants).
Quite a few differences for the “spot the difference” fans!

Just checked my place and not been visited by Google since April 2009 so before I owned the place.I wonder why it is so out of date.

Checked where I used to live which is much closer to London and my old place is also showing April 2009 seems nobody is checking up on me😪

My house has never been on Google street view, am I doing something wrong or something very right........
I think you are one of the lucky ones!
I do use street view to research a new place that I have to go to. That's when it's handy to have an idea of the place prior to arrival.
I have no problem with the house being there on view, but how and why do they always manage to catch me in front of it?

I've noticed on the above Google pictures of you that you're not wearing your tin foil "anti establishment" hat! They're obviously waiting and tracking you and photographing you once you appear on the system!

Does that mean that the glare from my shiny head doesn't dazzle all defence systems:dk: I'll have to be more careful....

If shiny head glare was defence system safe, a lot of the members on here would be very secure......
