CD Changer Replacement - Reboot?

Hello again. I have just acquired a replacement CD changed for my W215 CL600. However when connected up in the boot the Command unit doesn't recognise it's there and shows up 'No CD Changer' on the dash. Is there some sort of re-boot I need to do to get each part to talk to each other???

You should not have to do anything its recognised by the optical link.

Thanks. Had a feed wire disconnected - real pain to fix, but all well now.

The Cd changer data comes over the optical link. The wakeup cable is the important thing here as without that, the comand wont see the CD changer even if the power and optics are connected.
