Why has he/she got a spanish email account when the car is supposedly in huddersfield?

I dont imagine that will be on there for too much longer!

So what is the purpose of Hijacking an account taking the time and effort to produce an add with pics like that when you are not going to sell anything.

Collect 'holding deposit' and then run I reckon :( , although I am no expert!

Hi Shaun,
Let me tell that the car is in Italy where I moved six months go.I am selling the car from here that is why I said that will be free delivery, on my charge.
We are having some financial problems that is why we are selling the car now.
I can prouve that I am the owner and if you will like to buy the car let me know so ebay can contact you with more details about the deal

Should say to her that you are worried about being conned because of the increase in hijacked accounts on ebay and would like a picture of the car with a news paper dated today for verification purposes. See what she makes of that

£4k in Italy with Free Delivery Reckon it would cost £500+ to get it over here bringing it yourself then getting yourself back over you could make it a round 1K.

If your going to rip people off why not do it with a reasonable price tag making it look at least a bit genuine.

Looks a beautiful car though.

Debra Middleton,

For someone with the very English sounding name of Debra Middleton, her use of the English language is well dodgy! Auction has now been removed by Ebay.

That looks about the standard of English one can expect these days...

Does anyone here have any stories of their own to tell about buying/selling cars on eBay? Horror stories, success stories, any other kind? Might be interesting to hear ... (I personally haven't ventured into it  )

Might be worth trying a search - this was discussed in the main forum quite recently ;)

HTH :)

I have sold a car on eBay before. The bidding went well, the winner contacted me quickly, turned up with cash, drove off in the car. No hassles at all. That said, I am sure though that there are some dodgy characters out there who a) sell poor quality cars and b). try to wriggle out of paying when they see the car.

Personally I would buy a car off eBay but I would go and see it first with an expert who knew what they were looking at, plus I would verify every bit of documentation. The best way to view eBay for cars is as a huge advertising ground and thats all. Do exactly as you would with any other car you thought about buying.
