hi

Does anyone have any experience of one of these...

i know they are cheapo, but how long should i expect one of these to last for?

exhaust

thanks

Derek

They will last one - two years depending on use. Get a genuine system miles better and the fit well too. After market exhausts for MB's are often so badly made they dont fit very well.

ok thanks.... thought as much. i'll keep patching my current one whilst i save the pennies for the custom de-cat stainless system then.

Some German ebay sellers do sell OEM exhausts but with the LHD RHD issue there's always the chance you'd get the wrong one.

Re Exhausts

I would go to a local fitter and have either one made or get a performance one.
OEM will cost ie AMG ££££ but having a system made could be the way to go.

If its an Imsat exhaust they are actually pretty good, fit well and sound fine. I've got one on mine and its fine! Diesels tend to be far kinder to exhausts too...

Surely with your superb bodging skills you could make one last the life of the car!! :)

been quoted just under £400 for a stainless system...

i had to "bodge" it again a few nights ago.... i think if i get some time, i'll strip it back and weld it this time, instead of using some putty stuff as it never seams to last
