Cheap R129 SL320

that costs less than the revamp i am just finishing on the interior of my sl60 r129.

Interesting ad - car seems very cheap. I wonder why, apart from the fact it's not a 1999 model. What build year is it?

It's got an R plate on it, which would mean registered 31st July 1998 at the latest. That would fit in with it not being a '99 model year (oval door mirrors etc.).

Wheels look like genuine AMG 2-piece although they appear to be the same all round (not the normal staggered set). Hard to be sure from the pics. though.

Aside from the wheels, I wouldn't say it was unusually cheap tbh. A pre-99 facelift six-cyl R129 - £4k about right :)

Nice looking car like most half tidy R129s I guess

There seem to plenty for sale at upwards of £6k with higher mileages. Perhaps they're not really worth that much

Not a bad price for the mileage, but all depends on condition

Maybe - but as with many cars you see, asking prices don't always reflect what they achieve. This looks realistically priced to me.

I guess the mileage is reasonable and it looks tidy so £4k is probably pretty good - but being a pre-facelift and only a 3.2 I don't expect it would ever be worth fortunes :)

The wheels are what makes it desirable IMO.

The pictures aren't brilliant, but the front bumper is clearly misaligned around the indicators and the number plate mounting bracket is missing, causing the plate to be at the wrong angle.

Front end smash and cheap repair?

Looks like a classic scam advert on Autotrader
