Cheap W124 Saloon Grey Leather interior

Thanks Neil...I've just bought it.

I've been looking for grey leather for my 230e for a while now and this looks in great condition with all the wood trims, centre storage box etc.

I'm glad now that I didn't have that Saturday morning lie in!

A little trip up to Leicester to pick it up next week then...

I think so, as it did say the transmission tunnel as well, so assume the seller means it all. If it does, then I'm lucky..if not, well, still a nice interior!

A right bargain IMD, nice buy.

I had my W126 SEC grey interior up for £195 but no bites, so have reduced it... apart from the bolster, its mint!

I've got 5 or 6 of them Jay & you can have your pick for £95 shipped! :D

Im not sure if they fit the W126... I have bought a couple recently and initially I thought they were different to W124, but the one i got recently had W124 written on it in yellow chalk!

If you have one in black, it may be worth trying for me..

Jay,

PM sent.

The black one is cassette holder from a W126 500SEL with a W124 number on it, the bottom from a W124. I think they're a swap.

I have many more of these boxes than I thought, mostly grey or mushroom but do have one in black. It has a key.

Well, I picked up the Leather interior yesterday. A bit of a nightmare journey with the traffic, 4 hrs there and 4 hours back and it was my birthday! Not the most exciting way to spend it!

It does need a good clean, but the seats look good, the door panels not quite as good as expected with a small rip in the card on one, but I think I'll manage to glue this.

The centre box that was in the original pictures was not included! I assumed it was, but he'd already sold it for £65.00. Bit of a shame, but not the end of the world.

He was breaking the car and was more than happy for me to take other bits, so I got the rear parcel shelf, transmission tunnel, lots of wood trim, a set of switches including air con etc (which I don't need, but someone may), lights switch etc.

All in all a success, but until I get round to sorting it and cleaning it all up, I now have a W124 estate full to the brim with bits of interior! I will take some pics of the swap when I can.

Anyone got any suggestions of effective leather cleaner / revitaliser?

Ian

Just a note:

boxes from a W126/W124 saloon will not fit an SEC!

However, a box from W124 will fit a W123 with a bit of dremel action ;)
