I got a replacement key ordered as mine was looking a little tired! To my surprise this is what arrived:

Is this the standard key now then? It makes me laugh everytime I look at it!

Very nice and yes very bling indeed. I believe these new bling keys are now standard when ordereing a new replacement key.

I got the same when I got my E class, they had only 1 key so had to order up a new one. Its soo much nicer IMO...

The key is not cheap at all!! I think it was £150 on its own but I got a few other bits at the same time and a 'special' deal

I think the key is an improvement on the standard black. The bling just takes a little getting use too.

I was impressed that the key arrives all setup and the emergency 'blade' is all precut ready to go!

Nice. Waiting for the carbon fibre model to be released (whch is probably never) but if MB did i would be the first to buy.

I'm trying to keep it as pristine as possible! I doubt they will ever do a carbon one but you can probably buy carbon replacement for the chrome. I know you can for Audi keys

Nope, without key blade:

Boring key = 20g
Bling Key = 30g
