Car
1988 420SE & Gwagen 300GD
I own a 420SE W126 from 1988
I noticed the other day while sitting in it that there is a chirping noise coming from around the footwell under the glove box
I do have a squeeking blower fan so I turned this off thinking it may be this but it continued,
It sound like a stupid post but it has me intrigued!
It actually sound like a little bird:dk:
I thought maybe a valve or something It has got a mercedes alarm system on it but I have never used it, I think it is disconnected
Anyone got any ideas if there is anything in this area
Thank you

Do you get it when the car is really cold but it goes when warm?

it is likely to be the hidden little blower fan that sends interior air up a tube to the temp sensor built into the interior light.

Ahhh! My exterior temp display plays up too sometimes it reads high and other times blank so I have a new one to fit when I get a minute.
Is the main blower fan easy to get to or like my G Wagen; dash out job?
Thank you for the info
