Hello guys,

After having the CL.. one month of not moving her, just starting her up once a week to make sure the battery is OK.
I took her out for a spin today and ... hhmmm once I came back and put her on the driveway I could hear something like a hamster wheel from the engine bay...

I found out the bold round bearing that has an axle and 4 little bolts to hold the pulley in place, seems to be out of centre wobbling a bit ... and does a squeak on every turn.

I assume this is a the water pump seen on some pictures online. I attached a picture of the pulley.

Is it really hard to replace?

I am not going to drive the car in the state it is as I do not want to risk any damage :(

Cheers in advance.

the m113 V8 water pump is not that bad to do you need torx sockets to remove the bolts. theres a rubber pipe on the right of the pump i would advise getting a new one. the tricky bit is lining the gasket up

I have the sockets so .. toolwise I have them.
It's good to know about the hose, will buy that as well then ;).
I was told that I will not need to flush the system... just a top up for the coolant lost will do.
I assume that is correct?

I have found a DIY process, I am not sure if I am allowed to put a link here to MBWorld
