Hi guys. Can anyone confirm the part/model number for an 01 CL600 6xCD boot mounted changer please?

I don't understand that reference number. As far as I know, the CD changer's part number is B6 782 2771. Can be bought online from this website for about 350 quid.

its the one that every merc around that era has, they come up on ebay for around £100..

Hello again - I'm well confused! The back of my unit says:

A002 820 7989
Model No. MC3198

I've found a new one on E-Bay and the seller has quoted:

'B6 782 2771

12v D. C Negative GND
e24
020529

and then a sticker on the unit is:
B19 AL319860974321'

The pic looks the same as mine (the fibre optic version) but these numbers are totally different - yet the same reference as you've made.

Any advice please?

As far as I know A0028207989 = B67822771

This last one is the number I gave earlier for the CD changer, which I think is the same on the s-class and cl-class of that era.

However, why not simply give MB UK customer services a call - they will be able to confirm so that you spend no money on the wrong part.

Spot on - thanks. MB customer service neither use nor ornament, but local dealer matched off the parts - they're the same. Apparently the part numbers changed! Cheers for that.
