Hi all,

I own a Cl63 which is two years old. The brake performance is very poor in the wet to the point of being dangerous!!
Has anyone else had this scary problem please?

To get the best response to your query I suggest giving more details. What is the car's mileage, what steps have you taken so far to rectify the problem - and what exactly is the problem? Define "very poor in the wet" does the car not slow down or do thebrakes lock?

An obvious question: what tyres are on the car and how much tread do they have left?

Assuming tyres are ok: I guess you have the composite brakes?

Is it when you first press them after few miles when it's raining heavily, or is it all the time?

The tyres are new, the car has done 25k miles, and the problem is that upon pressing the brake pedal.......nothing at all happens for 2-3 seconds!

It should be still under warranty. Have you let the dealer have a look?

Charles, is this all the time, or only in certain conditions?

My S65 with the same brakes (I believe) has a pause when the roads are really wet, I think it's a "feature" of the composite discs. Outside of heavy rain/soaking wet roads they brakes are amazing.

If you are getting this all the time, you definitely have a problem as our cars should weigh close to the same amount and the braking performance should be similar.
