Clk 230 kompressor auto coupe 1999 w208 pre facelift T-Reg 116k
Black.

The car has several problems hence the reflected price:
A few cosmetic issues, mainly in need of a new set of badges, some interior trim and there is a cigarette
burn in the rear seat and a small hole in the dashboard.
Mechanically, the car drives but not too well. It has recently had several diagnostics all stating that the car
needs a new air recirculation unit. However after two new ones from Mercedes have been fitted and not
fixed the problem I am guessing a new ecu or wiring fault is apparent.
Electrics, apart from the above mechanic problems the alarm siren continuously sounded which was cured
by removing the fuse. However this fuse also controls the boot pop and rear cabin light which now
obviously don’t function. The car still locks and works with the central locking. I believe the drains around
the scuttle may also be blocked as it feels a little damp in the foot well passenger side.
The car comes with two keys, I have the V5 and lots and lots of history. The car is taxed until end of Dec
2010 and mot expires in Jan.
All this may sound a lot but that’s because I have been honest about the work needed. With the right oily
hands this would make a great clk and was used daily for 3 years up until November 30th 2010 when I have
decided it is probably not doing it any good driving it anymore.
Mercedes Benz Health Check carried out 3rd Aug 2010 showed the following:

Additional Findings Fault with air flap actuator requires further investigation

.

After this had been carried out the car has had
New front discs and pads fitted

Both front bottom ball joints replaced

The bulb warning on the dash which comes on when the lights are on I believe to be due to new number
plate bulbs (the whiter brighter ones) being fitted.

The service indication has simply not been reset as the services have not been done at Mercedes.
(I would recommend Castrol Edge Fully Syn 0w/30, the sump plug and washer, plugs and filters just
genuine Merc parts dept)
.

The fault with the air flap actuator is obviously still on going. Although I believe there is nothing wrong
with the air flap actuator and this is probably just the ecu throwing out incorrect fault codes.

Gearbox has been checked and given the all clear. All hoses and the like have been checked and given the
all clear and also a new maf sensor and lambda sensor have been fitted so I would expect the problems are
ecu related.

I’ve given up with this car and been honest about it’s issues so please do not show an interest if really your
not.

The spare wheel is intact and present, as is the first aid kit and everything else I haven’t mentioned seems to
work and function fine including electric windows, sunroof etc etc.

Pics to follow and price is offers to my pm box please. Viewing available anytime in Blackpool.
