CLK/Bose problem (new user)

I recently had a problem with the factory fitted Mercedes CD player in my CLK 320 and decided to swap it out for a new JVC KDL140(I think it's a 140), head unit. Unfortunately, the Bose speakers behind the rear head rests are not delivering any sound, (the stereo is treating the bottom door speakers as the rear ones).

I am at a loss as to what to do, (do I have to buy an adaptor or do I need to purchase a Mercedes model due to some sort of amp inside the head unit).

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks :)

as far as i know , only the factory units will work with the bose system

Fuzzer is correct... only the MB units such as the Audio 10 or Audio30 will work.

I have Bose in my SL and have found that whilst it works with both the MB units mentioned above, I found that it sounds alot better with the Audio 10 than the Audio 30 APS.

You can find MB headunits on E-bay on in the classifieds on this site. There is an Audio 30 APS unit being sold in the classifieds.

Cheers

Thanks for the information - looks like I'll have to sell this JVC thing and pick up one of the MB jobs on ebay. Thanks again! :)

The funny thing is though whether you have bose or not, same comand unit.

How does that work?
