CLK DTM Convertible (Well not quite)

He seems really impressed that the car starts, that's not a good sign.

The video is unbelievable, he doesn't shut up about it starting from cold, then has to shove the roof to get it to open, scrapes the bumper reversing off the drive, scrapes something else getting back on the drive, then opens the door into his other car!?

Battery kill switch next to gas pedal to stop the many wiring issues draining the battery.
Brand new 7G Tronic fitted by Mercedes-Benz for £1k?
Cut notches out of the boot for hideous chrome taillight trims.
Mechanical boot opener drilled through the boot that probably works with the car locked.
Huge battery in the boot to help with the parasitic drains to earth
Boot latch stem cut off to bend it upwards to reach the mechanism, rather than unbolting the latch and adjusting the adjuster nuts...
"It's all straight", then reels off a list of cracks...

It's an absolute scrapper. Actually it won't even have much scrap value as most parts have had holes drilled and bits cut out with an angle grinder...

Mike Brewer's scouse brother. :D Delusional fool.

Have you watched the video......classic

"that's a real exhaust (points) That's a fake one (points again). I'll give it a rev (go on then, have you given it a rev yet?)"

The mismatched coloured interior kind of works with the mismatched silver paint that he is attempting to remove, scrape by scrape, via kerb rash and door dinging.

I love the casual way he almost collects the Taxi head, on as he makes his comedic re-entry back into to the road where he lives.

I have to say I do feel cruel writing this. His car, his video. But there is a point where people just need to stop and let others view. I am not sure that pointing that there is no fake smoke coming out the fake exhaust is at that point in time?

Got it...this is W208 with 209 door cards, w211 rear lights and a w209 front end...no wonder the top picture doesn't look like the car in the video...he "transformed" it.

Even the boot lid is from a 209. A lot of work has gone into this car...for no good reason.

“I have owned this for 6 years and if there was anything needed doing to it IT got it.... “ then goes on to list all the faults [emoji23] ......that battery & isolator....as he says, no need to worry about a flat battery, just flat tyres and broken springs...why alter the front to turn it into a drift car, that battery in the boot will make it tail happy[emoji23]

Having watched this hilarious video he seems the kind of guy who has cherished it in the way many do with their cars adding daft chrome, badges and trying to make it look unique or different. I know a few people like that who get overly worried about things like the battery and electrics to the point of doing what he has, done, putting a huge battery in. I know a guy who has bought awful chrome trim off eBay and put it all over his Saab, he’s bought wooden dash trim and even plastic brembo break covers and it looks awful, but he cherishes his car. It’s an awful car though the MB, why would you do that? That video though, what a laugh. I guess I’m saying don’t be too harsh on the guy or write his car off outside of how absurd it looks.

Starting the video using Fahrenheit instead of Celsius started the alarm bells ringing for me , it all ended with the the 'chrome' wrapped wheels and the way he has fitted the window winding buttons in the drivers door....The horror...the horror.

Shame, he is quite deluded, but probably a nice bloke. Shame about his horrible car though. Anyway the amount of work he has put into the Mercedes you think he would be a forum memberfor at least the last 5 years

He clearly loves it, and that makes him slightly blind to the various things a buyer may not like. - Unfortunately you rarely get back what a car owes you when it's this heavily modified.

This is my take too. He seems blind to its faults but appears a genuine guy with a love for his car. Someone will buy it, but it could take a while:D

Bit harsh mate?

Huh?

To me that car is trash, but I’m sure he treasured it. I think that expression really sums it up perfectly, each to their own..

Thinking about it; if he marketed it as a drift missile, then there's no need to explain the steering angle or damaged bodywork... because drift car.

Is it just me, or does the engine sound odd? It claims to be a 430, so that should be a V8 and not whine like it's got a kompressor.

My C43's sounded like that. Lots of belts/ancilliary drives/etc.

That's where the similarity ends, though.........
