I purchased a 2002 CLK230 convertible 2 weeks ago and was thinking of upgrading the exhaust, does anyone know if an exhaust from the new shape (209) will fit mine (208)??

Anything can be made to fit anything with enough time and money ...

I don't think it will just bolt on though , although i stand prepared to be proved wrong !!

Short answer: NO

The exhaust from the 209 doesn't look much different to the 208 exhaust, as viewed from the street.

What does the existing exhaust look like? There is an optional chrome tailpipe cover available from MB and elsewhere in the aftermarket if that's what you're after.

It's the piping underneath that might cause a problem. You can get a new backbox and tips created by the likes of Powerflow and Longlife. Where are you based?
