I know there have been previous discussions; but here’s my positive experience. I bought an Erisin unit from Amazon (Amazon.co.uk), plus the DAB aerial unit. YouTube videos assisted with old unit removal, but it does need patience and plastic levers. First though, I needed to site the GPS puck and DAB aerial. Removed L/H A pillar trim ( YouTube helps again), and dash end panel to feed cables through to head unit. Not as difficult as expected using a stiff wire to help. I fitted DAB to side of screen and GPS behind mirror, cables all hidden behind trim. The new head unit just needs the original black aerial lead, DAB usb lead, GPS lead and original multi plug fitted. The original yellow and blue leads are not used (GPS and ?) Screw it all back together, and it works! All functions enabled, and steering wheel controls working. There are no install instructions with these units, but it’s pretty much direct swap. I could have rear cameras if I wanted too. Looks good and I now have DAB, modern GPS, FM radio, Apple CarPlay, plus things I don’t understand!
