CLK430 w208 Yr 2000 Parktronic PTS unit location

My Parktronic unit has never worked and shuts down with a bleep and red light as soon as the ignition is switched on.

where is the PTS unit located as I remember changing it a few years ago But cannot remember where it was located.

The replacement that I fitted also has the same symptons BUT when I tried to diagnose the fault this week using STAR it cannot even find the unit!!

is this because the replacement unit should have been coded to the car?

any help really appreciated thank you

Well good news I found the pts unit under the footwell passenger side thanks to Ollie at Prestige.Now waiting for a seconhand unit to try but so far both my original unit and another spare cannot be seen by my isoft test equipment and mercedes star,

Does anyone have a wiring diagram please?thanks Paul
