Hi Gang,
I've just bought and fitted a brand new instrument cluster into my CLK55.
The cluster that I took out was working fine, but it had the usual pixel problems on the clock and outside temp displays (Tiptronic gear indicator fine). Plus a thin single blank row on the centre display, not visible on the main screens but shows on some of the other functions. It's otherwise in good condition.
I didn't fancy taking mine out and being without it for a few days whilst it was fixed and to be honest I preferred the option of a new replacement.
The old unit is obviously repairable - loads of places will fit new displays in these or you can try and do it DIY. I think the previous owner has already tried, so a pro repair might be the way forward.
Anyway - I'm not after a lot. Might be a nice option for someone who wants a cluster to use whilst they repair theirs, or get this one repaired and the mileage/coding done?
Perhaps useable for someone who wants to just swap the AMG dials over.
Original MB part number is A 208 540 66 11
INSTRUMENT CLUS - - Mercedes-Benz Parts, Inchcape
Not after a fortune - PM me an offer - but I thought I'd offer it on here before it goes on eBay. Plenty of spare bulbs if nothing else
