Hey there, got a quick question for everyone....
Has anyone with a cloth roof on any Mercedes had issues with the fabric being gathered or bobbled? Like when you catch a jumper on an object and it gathers/pulls the thread...
I picked up my E350 CDI on Friday 10th... I didn't notice any bobbling then but noticed a day later when I was taking pictures of it and informed the dealer straight away so they will look at it later today, does anyone think the dealer would replace the roof under warranty? - The car itself is only 6 days old lol
I imagine that the cars come off the trailers from the factory with a plastic wrap over the roof and other parts of the body so my guess is that someone's pulled the wrap off and caught the roof since the car hasn't sat outside anywhere for a cat to jump on the roof... I've only used it twice on short drives other than that its been sat in my garage!
The bobbling/gathers very small and are not all over the roof just in certain areas - behind rear passenger side window and above the driver's side window...
Wouldn't expect it from a brand new car so ideally I want it sorting since over time they will only get bigger and probably end up letting water through.
Any thoughts?
