Hi, after looking for a cls 55 for a long time i purchased one about a month ago.
Enjoying every minute of it so far!

Sadly this morning i had a message on the dash appear saying stop car, too low.
I have had the car checked and its obvious to see the o/s/f suspension wont raise or hold pressure.

Im sure as we are all aware these are in the region of £900 from Mercedes.
I have been trying to find an alternative to Mercedes and stumbled across this listing
Mercedes E class W211 CLS W219 Front Airmatic Air Suspension Shock Strut | eBay

It all looks like what i need but im just curious if anyone else has bought these struts and had any problems?

any help or opinions is much appreciated.

I've not had to replace any yet but I would be careful about not fitting a genuine MB one. I know there are other alternatives as well (Specialist for air suspension car auto automotive SUV Transporter pneumatic air level control,Audi A6 A8 Q7 Mercedes airmatic W211 W212 W220 W221 W215 W216 W219 W218 W251 W164 W166 X164 X166 W230 W906 W638 W639 Porsche Cayenne Panamera Tesla Land Rov) but some don't allow the use of the suspension settings after (C, SI, SII) although I am not sure if any others do except the genuine MB one...

I had leaking front airmatic struts and they cost £1500 at MB dealership to fit a new pair of front MB airmatic struts, all-in including vat and labour etc.

Your main non-MB alternative is Arnott industries struts, which have the default 'comfort/convenience' setting of the MB struts, but lack the 'sport I' and sport II settings. As the price was not vastly cheaper, I went for the MB ones as I wanted to retain standard strut functionality and resale value.

You can find the airmatic threads from me by doing a search.
