CLS Door Mirror Glass

I wan't sure where to post this, but after a door mirror clash I now need new glass in the drivers door.

When I went down to MB I was totally blown away as they want £335.80 for the mirror glass, Part A2218100621.

I know it's a heated mirror, but it just seems over the top.

Is there any where else I can a replacemnet glass from?

Worth searching E-bay, both .co.uk & .de (Germany) as dimming mirror glass does turn up from time to time.

Had the same issue about 3 months ago. Assume it's the drivers mirror ? Make sure you get the right one - the mirror shape is totally different for the facelifted version (which mine is and it sounds like yours is the same). Prior versions I believe are R171 glass type (SLK) but still pretty expensive. Nic @ Euromerc could get the later, but it wasn't any good for me.

Edit - just noticed your location - I'm in the same area. I got mine from MB Chelmsford - much more helpful than other dealers - and they fitted it for nothing.
