HI All,

I am currently looking at 2009+ CLS 320 /350 CDI and have been keeping a close eye on dealers stock and prices. It does appear that cars seem to sit around for some time before selling, also noticed that prices seem to be dropping almost on a weekly basis

Are facelift CLS not selling at the moment.?

Thanks

I would not say that, we have been very busy.. CLS's come in and go out very quickly depending on price.

CLS's are amazing. It's one if the best cars out there. I love CLS. I was skeptical at first but driven a 350 and a 55 and both were utterly wonderful.

I saw an 09 plate, Silver with Black, 23k miles Command, Parktronic,

First advertised at £22,950, and last week £19,300, but sold before I could see it.

Also, apart from the increase in torque what’s the other main differences between the 320 & 350 CDI

CLS's with good spec, sell like hot cakes.

Also the dealers don't update the website as quickly as you think, I've bought mine and it was still on the website for 2 weeks.

I'm not a CLS expert, but in E Class the power went from 231hp to 265hp during 2010/11. I wonder if the 350 has the 265hp engine. There were some 320 Grand Editions with 265hp in earlier models.

Thanks Guys,

Is there anything else I need to be aware of before buying a facelift model ?

Not a lot that you can't cover off by searching V6 CDi issues....

Other than drivetrain potential weaknesses they are very good cars.

Do the earlier 320 CDIs have air suspension as standard?

AirMatic DC only standard on CLS500 and AMGs

Perhaps cars dropping out of factory warranty making buyers and MB retailers nervous?

With good reason. The OM642 engine has seen me spend £2500. Depsite forum speak of 40-50mpg and only 180k miles, just run in:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:, these are expensive cars to keep.

Thanks gents. Ordinary springs is good :thumb:

They snap on the 211, but I suspect the CLS has better ones as its not a fault noted that they have, and they are stiffer. The cars really drive great and if you can abide the lack of headroom, and can afford a hefty bill here and there, theres no faulting them.

Driving home from work last night another Black CLS was in front of me.....What a lovely looking car I thought.....says it all for me....

Couldn't agree more! :D

^ I only see the cdi cls's in my rear view mirror & they look just as good there;):D

^ and I'm very impressed with the rear of the CLS as I see when trying to keep up with a 500 or 55! :D
