Guys
My car sounded as if it had hit an almighty pothole - thought the tyre had burst !
The wheel arch on the front passenger side seems to have dropped as the clearance appears less than other side.

Q What do you think has happened and will it be expensive to repair ?

Thanks for your time
David

Sorry to hear this has happened. Do you have traditional or air suspension?

On traditional suspension, springs can break, which could reduce the ride height significantly depending upon where it has broken. Fortunately, many springs break at the bottom tip and is barely noticeable, however some fail with a bang!

You'd have to take a look at what's left of the suspension to be sure.

If you need to replace the suspension, you might wish to consider good quality aftermarket springs, like H&R, popular with owners who are fed up of breaking OEM springs!

I hope it gets sorted soon.

Thanks Bobby

It's traditional !
Expensive ?
