I currently have the stock CLS 18" 5 spoke alloys, for the 320 CDI model. I like the design but unfortnately 2 were previously welded and one is losing air (from previous ownership).

I seen a set of AMG 447 19" alloys but the tyres are 235 width. Will that be an issue? I seen CLS recommended is 245 and above. I thought I could maybe fit bigger tyres when theyre due to be changed, as it was a good deal.

Thought replace rather than repair? Would be good to get your thoughts?

If those are genuine AMG 19" alloys, the correct size tyres should be 255x35x19 fronts and 285x30x19 rears. Also the ER (offset) should be ET25 front, and ET28 rears.

^ They do look like OEM CLS wheels so hopefully will have the correct sized tyres fitted.

Before buying, get the seller to give you the ET which is stamped into the rear spoke to make sure they are definitely CLS fitment.

Amazing thank you, will get him to check that for me. Appreciate the advice!

They should also be staggered - 8.5" front and 9.5" rear.

How do you find out the correct tyre pressures when you fit larger lower profile tyres to a car( any car) ? What really kills me is if I have to buy new tyres because I find the tyres have worn out on one side or the middle & the rest of the tread is fine due to incorrect tyre inflation.

^ Should be the same pressure as the ones you have fitted at the moment AFAIK

Am no I have standard 18" AMG wheels , in the past youth I used to swap wheels but nowaDAYS ...I prefer a bit more comfort.

quite local to me too

are they genuine cls rims ?

All 4 of those photos are of the exact same wheel BTW.

Check them all thoroughly for cracks as they are a pretty weak alloys.
