Realised today that although I've had the car two months now, I'm still going for out for unnecessary journeys at least twice a week!
I'm cleaning it religiously every Sunday and basically driving my girlfriend crazy with the amount of time I'm devoting to 'that bloody car':D

Only really two small issues to date, bonnet switch defective which meant the bonnet open warning light on the dash and the annoying beeping kept repeating themselves.
This was sorted under warranty.
Stranger maybe is the lack of heated seats, the backs of both heat up although they don't get particularly warm. Nothing however to warm the backside at all  I could understand it perhaps if one side didn't work.
Switch illuminates on both sides and behaves normally when pressed.
I creak a little these days on a cold morning so they'll have to get fixed at some point.

Overall really impressed with the car, the ride is maybe a tad harsher than I expected but I can live with that.
Booked with MSL in a couple of weeks for remap and exhaust mods.
Looking forward eagerly to this but just can't make up my mind regarding resonater delete, doing my head in as I keep swaying from yes to no and back.
Watched various clips of cars and there are a couple of CLS owners on here with it removed, unfortunately I think both are based some way from me so not practical to get a listen in person.
Anybody in the Berkshire area with this kind of setup?

I'm down in Oxford at the start of every week usually - which is only 30/40 mins for Berkshire/Reading etc. I'm straight through but welcome to listen to mine... might convince you to get a valved setup?

Thanks for the offer Adam I'll see how I'm fixed early next week if you're about.

I'm just a tad over an hour north of Oxford and I've got Saturday off work if you can stretch the extra distance mate. If it's nice I'll be getting the Atom out for the first time this year :thumb:

Cheers Matt

Unfortunately I'm up in Doncaster for the whole weekend but appreciate you offering.
Hopefully the weather will be kind for your Atom outing!

Ha! what a coincidence, I live about 10-15 minutes from Doncaster, if that helps?

The resonator delete isn't too loud, but it enhances the sound really well. After a few weeks I was actually hankering for more noise as it was still quieter than my previous CLS55 AMG (with decat / resonator delete and x-pipe). I've had it decatted now and the step change in volume from the resonator delete is massive. I have to admit that at first I was unsure, but the volume seems to have settled now and is still very loud but acceptable. I think an x-pipe where the resonator was would make it perfect.

Jules.

Jules do you cringe on cold mornings for that first 10 seconds when it's sounding like an aircraft carrier? My neighbour 6 doors away says it's loud.

Likewise Adam if you ever passing through north Birmingham/Staffs it would be great to see your motor.

It does help a lot!
Just need to finalise my travel plans but hopefully be able to sort out something at your convenience over the weekend.

Interesting your thoughts regarding the decat bringing about a bigger increase in noise than the resonater delete.
For some reason I assumed it would be the other way round.
Gives me food for thought.

Thanks for your help with the UPD kit, fitted it Saturday morning and all done although I'm not disclosing how long it took me:)
Never goes smoothly when I do something on my own car!

Yes it's too loud. I do like it but realise not everyone else does. On the go it sounds good, no drone on the motorway at all. I would like to try it with either the resonators back in or with an x-pipe though to see how it would sound.

The big bonus though of the decat as well as the sound is another 100lb/ft

From what you've said above I think you'll love the resonator delete, it adds a decent amount of noise. Decat is crazy but allows for more torque to be made.

I think the UPD kit took me around 40 minutes to fit, but that included pics etc and sorting one of the mounting plugs that was threaded!

Alloys next for me I think....

I'm at MSL right now mate, don't usually get to Birmingham that often otherwise.
