Engine management light up, plugged in reader came up with code P0130 & P0131. I have searched and found that it's the O2 sensor cct bank 1 sensor 1 fault. My question is what is this and what can I do to rectify. Thanks in advance

you have a clk230? what age is this car please? the first thing to do is disconnect the connector at the lambda probe (o2 sensor) and check for signs of oil in the plug. if you see oil in here it is a common fault and we can advise further.

You only have one bank of cylinders its the vee engines that have two banks, cat has two o2 senors one before and one after, so bank 1 sensor one is the sensor before the cat convertor.

Pic below sensor 11 is bank 1 sensor 1, 12 is bank 1 sensor 2 etc.

Thanks Guys, being a bit dumb, where do I find the LAMDA probe, by the way it's a 2003 clk230 kompressor with 50k miles.

You will have two sensors and one is before the cat and one is after, both are screwed into the exhaust pipe.
Do a google for either lambda, oxygen sensor etc as everyone calls them something different.
Look similiar to the one in the pic but will have wires coming out of the top.
