Hmm. Have you rung the cables back to the ecu? Sounds like one maybe running through the other in series

I have only checked around the valve locations and around the ECU location, I haven't checked the actual routing of the wires. That go around the engine block and towards the ECU.

A few things will have to be removed for me to get a good look at this like the air filter housings etc.

I will do this when I get a chance next, fingers crossed I'll find something.

Can't stop wondering how something like this could happen.
 
Took out the air filter housings and black intake today so I could visually inspect the harnesses between ECU and the valves, and I really couldn't find anything odd. Everything seemed in perfect shape.

Thinking I need to give it to an indy next and leave it with them to sort out. I did take it to Mercland few days ago for a quick diagnosis, they said the new valve had to be 'learnt' with Xentry, so did that and reset the codes, and it was back the next morning as usual.

That, or I wonder if I can just code the system out worst case.
