Wierd. I was driving along today and there was a very loud POP from the speakers and Comand switched itself off. After five or ten seconds it switched itself back on and behaved normally.

What's likely to have happened? Should I be worried?

Are all the speakers working fine?

I doubt it's overheating, it had been on for less than a minute when it happened.

The speakers are all fine.

Are the speakers from factory? Have you change them? Comand is specially sensitive to speakers delivering less than 4 ohm, whatever the frequency. Even a difference of 0,5 ohm will make the difference.

Also, a loud POP and then switching off is a sympton of a large amount of heat accumulated in the output stages and then released in a quick manner...

The speakers are factory standard, non Bose.

I suppose it could be overheating as the car had been stood in the hot sun for an hour before it happened. Then again, it's been stood in hotter sun for longer without going bang.

Ask someone or try yourself to push down the wiring looms behind Comand. This has just happened to me
