Mercedes-Benz e-class 2.1 e220 cdi amg sport cabriolet 2014
Does anyone know if it's possible to update the mercedes-benz e-class 2.1 e220 cdi 2014 command online maps to 2025? I have spoken to Mercedes and they can only update to 2018 maps as Mercedes went to usb update and it only gets to 50% and asks for another disk

Welcome.

Firstly, it's the W212 saloon, right? I.e. not the cabrio or coupe?

Then, if this is the facelift model, it will have NTG4.5 (aka 4.7). Update is via USB, it's a set of 3 'discs' I.e. 3 separate USB drives are required (mimicking 3 CDs). You'll be prompted for a PIN code at the start of the installation. The USB download is free, but you'll need to purchase the PIN code.

It's the e220 cdi amg sport cabriolet I'm not sure if that is the w212 (new to Mercedes)

Then it's not a W212, the E-Class cabrio is in fact based on the C-Class W204. It's still COMAND Online NTG4.5, though.

Do you know if it can be updated to the latest maps?

Yes, though I believe that the latest version available is v20.0 (2022/2023). It's unlikely that newer versions will be released, this is probably the last update. COMAND NTG4.5 was retired in 2015.

The maps upload takes about an hour to complete when uploaded from a USB drive. Loading from SD-Card might take a little longer. You don't need to do it in one go. You can do it while driving the car (though obviously the navigation won't be available while the maps are loading). When you park-up, the upload will stop, and it will continue from where it stopped when you next start the car. If you plan on doing it while the car is parked and the engine is switched off, then make sure that you use a trickle charger to charge the battery, otherwise COMAND will shut itself down. Good luck. Oh, and make a note of the PIN code, because it's unique to your car's VIN.

Spooky this thread has been created as I've been thinking about getting our 2017 GLC's maps updated. Can't seem to find a similar update to suit the 2017 GLC?

Looks like this is the version compatible with your GLC Ant.

Thanks for all that. I don't suppose you know how to connect data from a mobile phone do you mine says connecting the phone says sharing the data but the car then says data connection failed.
