Cookie conundrum?

One of the forums which i browse will not recognise me when i visit.(after checking the "log me in each time i visit" box).
Its only this one forum - all others are fine.
Sometimes,even after logging in,and "previous paging",i have to log back in again.
Is there anything i can do with my PC to sort this out or is it their end?

If all your other site logons are working (including this one) then the problem is almost certainly at their end. You might be able to get round it by changing some settings in your browser. If you're using Internet Explorer 6 Try going to Tools/Internet Options/Privacy. You can adjust your settings globally with the slider there but this increases the chance of you picking up unwanted cookies so if you click on Sites and then enter the Website domain name and then 'Allow' & OK Internet Explorer should retain cookies for the site no matter how badly written they are.

If you have separate firewall software see if you can log in and be remembered with the firewall off & if so you may need to adjust the settings there to allow cookies for the site as well.

All these changes decrease your security while surfing, but if you are happy the site is safe and only make changes directly related to the site specifically you should be OK.

One other possibility comes to mind which is your cookie may be damaged on your PC, try deleting the site cookie from your computer (Tools/Internet Options/General/Settings/View Files)

Is it the Meguiars forum by any chance ? The last couple of weeks it won't let me log in.

I had this once with another forum too. Wish I'd known he above trick
