Hi, I have a 2006 CLS 320 cdi with just over 30000 miles on it but I have found that the cooling fan is coming on after short journeys round the town and even after a 20 mile journey sitting at a speed of approx 60 mph but the temperature gauge is still at normal. Do these cars go into regen but I know there is no warning light to say you are doing a regen or you need to do one. Also is there a way you can force a regen on this age of a car and how to do it. Thanks Alistair.

As far as i am aware, the cooling fan comes on to prevent the engine over heating once the operating temperature is reached. Regardless of vehicle this does not take long.
A static temperature shows the system is working as intended.
