I have a 99 240 w210 pre faceclift it currently has an awful cheap and nasty aftermarket faceoff headunit fitted which works intermittently as the connection between the face and the main unit anrent meeting properly, I was hoping to hoping to find a standard unit to get the oem look back to the car as it looks tacky right now.

Could somebody please tell me which model headunit I need to looking for, the current unit is a single din, the surrounding wood around the head unit is a different shade to all the other pieces so I am assuming that the original is a non standard size and I would need to source a surround too?

Ooops just been out to the car to check, and its the drawer underneath the radio unit that's a different shade, so it looks like the original is a standard single din size :)

Thanks for that, although I was hoping for a little cheaper considering its a very basic looking unit, at least I know the model to look for, I can begin my hunt, muchos grassy ars@ :)

That one is for a facelift car. Original pre facelift one had square buttons iirc.

From memory, pre facelift used the iso standard wiring, but facelift cars use a can wake up to turn the stereo on instead of the old standard 12v ignition feed. It may work, but I've not tested it so can't say.

I am assuming there will be standard wiring there I havent took the old unit out yet but I would assume it is iso
