Got my car back today and shes driving smooth as cream, didnt realise how much i missed it until i started driving it again. god i love my car.

i have a query...

You know when you unlock the car or take the key out of the ignition the interior lights illuminate...well in a matter of words, mine do not.
If i press the switch for them they come on both front and rear so the bulbs are fine but not when i unlock the car or take the key out as it always did.

Have i done something to stop this or is there something i need to do to get this working again as its a bit annoying getting into the car in the dark when youre used to the car being lit up inside.

The rocker switch on the main front light is pressed towards the symbol of the car with doors open as thats the first thing i checked.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check the settings in the cluster convenience menu. IIRC it can be set to 0, 10 or 15sec

Shouldn't the rocker switch be level, ie in the middle?

Also, what used to fox me, and something it took me months to ever notice - the interior lights didn't illuminate in the daytime!

Mine only lights when rocker is in the middle, & not during daylight.

What about in an ML? Mine doesn't come on unless I open the door or unlock?

It's official.

I'm a Numpty!

Yes, rocker switch has a central position !
Take no notice of the pics on the switch:mad:

Thanks guys.

its official....

IM A NUMPTY TOO

didnt realise that the centre position is for that and to be honest, why would you when the symbol for it is to the right hand side of the switch.

Another note, the rear light only lights up when the rear door is opened and the front when the front, when you unlock it they all light up. Cool in it iwn cinfusing way.

Yes, it got me many times, major angry mode once, then realised my error! Agree, don't think the symbols are actually clear!

Anyway, and this is not meant to sound sarcastic, after this I read the manual all the way through and found other things I didn't know either ;)
