C32 AMG - Sold October 2013
Hi,

I bought a C32 AMG last week. I have all the steering wheel controls working, indicator / wiper / light stalk functioning but no cruise control. I have checked the fuse list but nothing listed for the cruise control.

Has anyone got any dieas of what I can look at?

Thanks

i have the same problem with my R107. seems the OVP relay, speed sensors, electric wires going to the ABS and the brake pedal switch are all possibles.....

Nice choice!!

Just to confirm...

...Has it worked since you've had it?

...Did the seller mention whether there was a problem?

...What size are the tyres?

...Are you activating cruise control by nudging the cruise control stalk clockwise or anti-clockwise as if activating the indicators to flash right or left?

Hi,

To be honest I didn't ask the vendor and the journey back after the sale was a bit of a getting to know the car session.

It was wet but I still wanted to floor it when it was safe hence no cruise control.

The tyres are different width but havent checked the profile.

I am using the cruise control as I did in my c320 so it should be the same.

Hi,

I have googled a link on the tyre sizes and I should have 225/45 17"s on the front and 245/40 17" on the rear.

Any help

Those are indeed the tyre sizes your car should have. It has been known that 'different' tyre sizes fitted to a car can upset the cruise control.

really?

I pass from 205/55 16" during winter and 225/45 245/40 17" in summer and back again, should I worry?

I've only read it on the Internet but it's certainly reported to be the case.

I think differering rolling radius on the car at the same time is a bigger problem though.

No. The rolling radius of all of those (which is all that matters) is the same to within about 1%, which is fine.

ok this sound me good and right, so the problem is in case of a "non factory" wheel rolling radious is installed!

thanks
