Cruise Control Stalk

In my ML (W164), I have the standard cruise control as in this ebay auction......

Is it possible to replace it with one like this from ebay....? and more importantly would it work?

Hi Jason, yep I'm suprised at that too but it has just the standard one!!
If this thing is just plug and play I think it's a good buy....

I will give the seller which looks like a dealer spares dept a call in the morning. I just thought some one on here would save me a call.

Thats weird , i thought it would have had it but not to worry.

This thread was up tonight and talked about on the A class having to get the limiter enabled on star. Maybe another trip to comand.co.uk with the ML ?

I don't have proof but i would guess you wouldn't get speed limit just by upgrading your CC stalk.

Posts #63 and #64 here http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/electronics/8644-w202-cruise-control-retro-fit-5.html is where i got the "speed limit must be enabled in the cluster" ... but i don't think Graham got speed limit working in his retrofit...

However, the good news is last Monday my local MB dealer _did_ _easily_ using DAS enable "speed limiter" in my console ... shame (for me) they didnt have the know-how to enable crusie in the ECM

Also, in my (unprogrammed) A class CC retrofit, i had to install an additional wire from the stalk to the ECU for CC+speed limt ... so not sure ... you might need that too.
