Hi going to compound the car i usually use farecla g3 but I came across this Gyeon Q2m has anyone used this needing to know if its better than the g3 ie does it take out the scratches a lot better

I used to swear by Farecla products such as G3 and G10 etc back in the day (10-20 years ago!) but there’s so many better products out there now, it’s really dated in the performance, ease of use and cleanup side of things compared to other products.

Try the 3M perfect it range. Fast cut plus is similar to G3 but so much better to work with.

What colour are you trying to polish?

Hi black

Would be worth a 2 or 3 step polish then :thumb:

Stuff like G3 (or similar cut) would leave a fine haze/holograms etc. You will need a soft pad and some fine polish to refine the finish further after using a strong compound to improve gloss and achieve a good result.

You would only need a small amount for one car, but this is a good kit:

I like how the 3M system is pretty easy - colour coded pads and polishes. Obviously several other options available but 3M stuff is pretty good

G3, G10, and then G3 wax for me every time. Not a fast cut so less chance of damage. Takes patience and time but a lot less haze and holos.

I also use 3m. Fast cut is very, very good!

Fast cut is great if you know what you are doing with a pad, if you don't you might need a respray lol

If the OP is familiar with G3 compound, he’ll be fine with 3M Fast Cut Plus.

I've recently used the meguiars ultimate compound on a black car and had very good results.

Whether you leave holograms or not, depends on whether you use a rotary polisher or a DA, DA is best !

Thanks for all of the advice 👍
