CVT Noise - Drag?

I've noticed a definite but quite quiet whirring noise that's definitely coming from the gearbox on my car. I've also noticed, perhaps being a little too watchful that when bringing the car to a halt in D that the engine rpm dips slightly when stopping.

I've not noticed this before but I've not been in the car all that long and I normally have my radio on. Am I perhaps being over sensitive or should I get it checked out? The car is a 07 plate with 29k on the clock.

It's probably normal, but if not a change of fluid may well help as CVT use the friction in the fluid to provide the drive.
