Hi, I have been looking into adding a DAB receiver to my Comand. Two units seem to be available under £100. The REVO and the ICS100. Both have FM modulated outputs plus audio which would plug into the AUX connector. The ICS100 also has a switched AUX in which I could continue to use for my IPOD. Both boxes could be mounted out of sight - the REVO using the optional wireless remote control and the ICS100 with a cable connected remote.
The big problem is the aerial. I hate stick on bits on the front screen and don't want to drill the roof. I could use a "through the glass" antenna at the back but I am not keen on this solution.
I keep looking at the unused TV "strips" in the rear glass and thinking if I added an amplifier, would this give acceptable reception? The wiring would be simple from here as it could run under the rear seat and carpet to the centre console.
Anyone had any experience of the units? Any suggestions re the aerial would be appreciated.
Happy new year

ive got a revo wire thru the aux input of my command unit
i trield the stick on windscreen aerial which was useless i now use the stick on aerial that fits on the rear screen and it works very well on my w203

You can use any domestic DAB receiver that uses a 12v power adaptor.

I only pay £12 for them now,you only need one output, thought there is no RF modulator you can plug direct into the aux of the command.

the aerial could be switched (car radio) by the swiching pin on the scart to go to radio or TV automaticaly.

Sinse all digital recievers can freeze a power switch is useful just to kill the power for 10 sec. the remote will work anywhere in the car.
