I think this might have been brought up before but I can't seem to find it.

Since the olympics has been on i've been using my DAB radio to listen to BBC R5L and their olympic station, which is great, however....

Whenever I return to the car, turn on the ignition, the DAB radio always reverts back to BBC Radio 1. Is there a way to fix this?

Just had a thought actually, is it because the station isn't stored?

Sounds very plausible - One way to find out! ;)

Did you ever fix this? My situation is much worse  ... I always listen to BBC 6 Music but the car always reverts to Radio 4 !!!! :wallbash:

Both stations stored as far as I can see.

HELP !!!

I usually listen to Radio 2 but it reverts to Kiss 101. I have just re read the manual and it says the following
DAB radio mode: you will hear the last station played from the last ensemble selected.
What ever that means

My DAB always goes back to the station I last listened to.

Sounds like a firmware update is needed (using Star Diagnosis). My 2 merc DABs go back to the last station I was listening to.

I was out of the area covered by the ensmble that my radio reverts to. So what happened when I turned the ignition back on, silence, it was obviously trying to find the sstation it normall starts with and as there was no coverage it couldn't. I had hoped that as the station was not in range it might just revert to the last station played - but unfortunately no.

I don't use DAB radio, virtually impossible to find a station and if I do, reception drops out repeatedly.

You must be in a duff area or have a duff DAB radio. I use it all the time and have very few drop outs & there are loads of stations.

Cars in for first service on Wednesday, it's on the list to be checked out. It's not the area that's duff as it doesn't work any where!

What was the outcome, did they get it sorted

Well..... apparently nothing was amiss.

Now the strange bit, I tried the DAB after I got the car back and it found lots of stations and held onto them. Only had about ten mins with it though, hopefully I'll get to try it for longer over the weekend.

Best part of the service was the price! Main dealer, friends and family discount, £110 all in :bannana: probably as cheap if not cheaper than an indie.

strange about the radio, great price for service though, what dealer was that?

MB Derby, "friends and family" discount. A good friend is a salesman there. I have been using MB Chesterfield for a few years as another friend is the Service Manager there. However, this time he could only get down to £195 from list of £249.

Does Dab come as standard on the mercs? I am yet to check my 2005 model!

Did you ever sort this problem jonnyMercUK? I have just taken delivery of a C Class Coupe and my DAB radio always starts on Radio 5 no matter what station I had on previously. Frustrating!
