I bought my own PDR rod/tool kit from Aliexpress for not a lot of cash. Lots of tutorials on YT. Its not that difficult....access being the main issue.....but those you cant get behind can often be got out with the glue and pull technique....got that tool as well. The guys who do this stuff are just normal blokes....so you can learn it like they did. I practised on an old Vectra door a neighbour let me have......I'd put a dent in it and then take it out!!!!!
Before that I did pay a guy to take a dent out of the arch of my WJ Grand Cherokee. It was double skinned and the metal was so strong that he couldn't pull it out.....in the end he removed my wheel and drilled an inch hole in the inner arch and worked through that. After he treated the whole, bonded a piece of metal in and undersealed over....great job.
This thread reminds me that I also have a small ping in the top of my boot lid that was there when I bought the car.....must look into sorting that. New turbo etc have taken priority!!
