SLK 350 AMG
Well, I have just spent a happy 2 hours prepping my SLK for some detailing work this week. Never having used it before, I was wary about detail clay, but took the plunge. I bought some Autoglym Detailing Clay kit on eBay, and am frankly astounded at how much ingrained dirt there was in the paint-work of my 7 year old car. The clay bar pieces used ended up yellow (like nicotine stains) through using them. I would 100% recommend this stuff to get your car paintwork back to life. It is so smooth now, compared to the scratchy-rough feel of the finish previously. Interestingly, the car has recently been valeted!! I think in future I will do it all myself.

You will find me this week in the garage armed with Autoglym Detail Cleaner and wax. In for a penny, in for a pound as they say........

Unless you specify you want a car clayed it wont be part of a normal valet. feels much better now i'll bet.

What other detailing have you got planned?
