DI Vessel longevity??

I have a 11.7l vessel bought in early June. I only use it for final rinse, and until now I have left the cars to dry naturally. However, on last wash I noticed a couple of small water marks. Nothing serious and easily removed.

So I checked with meter and it's reading 46ppm now. Looking up online it seems that anything above 30ppm and you risk water marks if you leave to dry. I live in a very hard water area, ~400ppm, so I wasn't expecting a fill of resin to last long, however, I did expect greater than 2 months. It's probably been used 6-7 times in that period.

Obviously I can still use it as is and towel dry, or I can order a 25 kg bag now and replace the resin.

I know a number of members have now purchased vessels along with meters Nd wondered how their ones are lasting??

cheers, Steve

2 months isn't long is it?

I think that 400ppm (as you say) is very hard.

Was it filled with MB115 - there are cheaper, and I assume, less high quality resins around?

Used mine 8 times now and it's still 0ppm.

Mind you my tap water is only 5oppm so it's not having to work that hard.

I exaggerated, it's 390ppm ;)

Yes it has MB115 virgin resin in.

I'll order a new 25kg bag and see how long the refill lasts

It all depends on the water hardness and how much you use it. You can use pre filters if you wish
Also make sure the vessel has as much resin in as possible
