Hi

Been looking at MB C Class est, AMG premium plus with pan roof in white but all appear to be 'polar white.'

We have in the family a E Clss 2 door, 350 with pan roof and when parked against similar car in Polar white the diamond white looks the business.

However, I can tell on the new C Class which is better ie polar or diamond white. I've yet to see an estate with pan roof in diamond white

What do you think looks better in the guise I'm interested in

btw, the cars have the 19 inch none standard wheels.

Thanks

Cheers for your comments - they match what my son said. However, far and few in blue compared to polar white, but you made me think again.
Thanks

I had the same dilemma with my S205. Went with Polar white in the end. Much criper white and also easier if you need to repair any dings as the Diamond is a pearlescent (3 stage coat). I previously had a pearlescent Toyota and it was a PITA in the bodyshop.

When you put Polar next to Diamond, the latter looks like smoker's teeth IMHO. Also, Pano roof contrasts really nicely with Polar esp with privacy glass.

But Diamond yet more exclusive etc. if you care for that sort of thing.

I had the same debate...so went for Obsidian Black! I love the Brilliant Blue to be honest. If you're sure white is for you then I'd go for Diamond, say one recently and it looked sheer class. Although the wife didn't like it so it's not for everyone

My W205 C250 Sport Premium estate is in Polar White. It's a fantastic colour, so bright it's almost painful to look at in the sun. The Diamond White looks dull in comparison.

I did like tenorite grey though.

Thank you all
About the "tenorite grey" we like that one too - but having a look at the blue car in the vid, may go for that.

We were going to palce an order via cra broker a few months back, brand new c class 200 - estate, auto, 19 ins wheels, pan roof, blacked out windows, the surround camera, all in for 29700 brand new but you havd to take the finance, we enquired and the finance we could use of a month and pay it off - regret not buying/order as now the best deal is 34k plus several months wait

Thank you all

Diamond White is the new name for Calcite White. If you prefer a bright white, choose Polar White, as the Diamond White is more of a cream colour.

If you want your car to look clean all the time, pick Iridium Silver, as it shows the dirt the least, while Black shows the dirt the most.

If it's got to be white then I like the polar white more. (Although looks a bit like a Tenerife Taxi). I just don't like the dirty white (diamond white). Same as the dirty white offered on the A & B Class. Never looks gleaming.

I adore the Brillant Blue. Rarer colour too.

Ant.

I originally ordered my e coupe in polar white but changed my mind early on as without the panoramic roof think white can be a bit much. Went for tenorite in the end and so glad I did as it looks really classy.

We went with Polar on our E estate after seeing a diamond white and polar car next to each other.

The diamond white is a pearlescent paint and just looked creamy next a crisp white polar.

Add to that it was free as opposed to a cost option and it was a no brainer. In fact I would have paid to have polar rather than free diamond white!

Polar is much cleaner and crisper. If you have a pano roof and privacy glass then it really sets it off, my gloss black and diamond cut alloys also work well with it.
I find that the diamond and other metallic whites always appear as slightly off and sometimes almost cream, which isn't to my taste but clearly is to others.

I agree with many others. When ordering my C Class i took some time to decide but the polar being crisper and 'whiter' and looking great against the Pano roof and privacy swung it for me, and the fact it was a free colour helped.

Stick with the Henry Ford option, any colour you like providing it's black!

I opted for diamond white, looks fantastic and metallic makes it more special imho. I guess the same discussion can be applied to any colour though - metallic black doesn't look as black as solid black, but I'd still go metallic as it just looks better. There's a reason solid colours are usually no-cost.

After several 'grey/silver' cars we opted for a C207 E Coupe three years ago. SWMBO decided on white (Calcite) with a red leather interior; I was sceptical but must admit the car stays looking clean for a long time and the combination of design plus colour turns heads. I have to say that I start getting bored with cars after 3 years or 35000K+ miles and change them; however this present car is rattle free, drives really well and has been a pleasure to own - and I have no desire to change it at present. And having looked in MB's showrooms at their present range, nothing excites me at all!
