My vehicle is recalled for the diesel software update. I have an adblue malfunction message and a check engline light. I’ve read that the software update might fix this issue. Would Mercedes update the software if the engine light is on?

The check engine light has the fault code p20f5 which is reductant (I think it’s adblue) consumption too high. It re appears after it is cleared

The diesel software update also includes a nox sensor replacement if necessary so would they change the nox sensor as I have read that this error code could be due to the sensor being faulty?

Your probably best talking with the main dealer that your taking your car to, they can advise on what they can do for you

Hello and welcome . A little more information about the vehicle could be helpful. What engine does it have , what year is it ? Or just post the VIN number on here.

It’s a v class from September 2016

I did and they just told me to bring the car next month for a recall job.
I’m just wondering if they are able to do the recall even with the engine light on and the adblue malfunction message. Would they change the nox sensors free of charge if that is the problem?
